About
My professional interests include:
- Economics: I am an economist by training, earning my doctorate in the Joint Program in Financial Economics between the University of Chicago and the Booth School of Business. My research interests are primarily in empirical asset pricing, behavioral and institutional finance, and household finance. Prior to my PhD, I worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. I have industry experience working at hedge funds including Citadel, AQR, and Abdiel Capital.
- Writing: I have worked as a professional journalist, covering topics on finance, economics, and markets for The Economist. I write personal blogs at Blog-Normal and Better Know a Dataset.
- Sports Analytics: I am an avid consumer of sports both as a fan and as an analyst. I have worked as a Quantitative Analysis Associate for the New York Yankees, conducting sabermetrics research for the front office, and as a Quantitative Sports Researcher for AQR.
